A global event that included over PechaKucha cities around the globe, including Gothenburg, with the goal to raise money for earthquaked Haiti. Presentations and dialogues from the different cities were streamed live over the internet during 24 hours. Gothenburg participated with a presentation on the theme "20 things you can do to help Haiti" were we together with things you can do presented 20 different tips in 20 seconds each, regarding how everyday people can help Haiti.
The last Pecha Kucha of the year offered up some surprices sucha as male nudity and artistry in all its forms. Well over people got to watch 11 inspiring presentations, followed by music selected by DJ ei-Dee.
Despite that this was the first time we held the event on a Tuesday, well over people showed up and quickly filled our venue Park Lane. It turned out to be a fantastic evening with 10 equally great and different presentations. Really fun that the events keep attracting new people! The presentations were followed by musical entertainment by DJ Naomi Paradise. A dynamic group of speakers served up everything from African click songs, and the meaning of life to extreme martial arts. The presentations were followed by DJ Naomi Paradise.
Amazing people enjoyed 14 high quality presentations. The presentations were follwed by the club Cheesy Not Cheesy.
The Gothenburg duo Tennishero served the music, the world's first CJ Cheese Jockey Cheeseboy served high quality cheese and some deli snacks from Ridderheims.
A long line formed outside Nefertiti on the night of the season finale of Pecha Kucha Gothenburg. Over people got it to listen to a record number of presenters. Next time we will provide a bigger venue. The autumn, the rain and the wind had reached Gothenburg.
Despite this hundreds of people cued to get a seat at Pecha Kucha. We are humble to the fact that not everyone got in and we are still working on finding a bigger venue that suits the event. But inside it was as great as ever, and we wonder just how much better Pecha Kucha in Gothenburg can actually get?
Click here for photos Flickr Partner: So great that too many didn't get in. We apologize for this, but after people had passed the doors we had to close the entrance. We will now discuss these questions in the project group. If you have any suggestions please feel free to answer this email and share them with us.
But for everybody who made it inside it was a marvelous night Creators Inn by Elvine Note! There is no other form of guestlist or way to skip the que. First come, first served. Last Pecha before the summer break and once again Nefertiti was packed. Please sign up as a speaker to be guaranteed entry next time: And what a come back it was. Full house with about people and around 50 that didn't get in we are sorry for that. Next time, please remember to come early to be guanteed entry.
We try to be fair and don't have a guestlist and can only guantee entry for speakers and Pecha Kucha workers. Click here for photos Flickr Press: Over people came to the film festival tent close to Järntorget to watch the presentations, play ping-pong, drink beer and hang out. But this felt like a perfect 10 with some what people packed in the legendary basement.
This was also the Gothenburg pre-release party for The Pecha Kucha book "20 x 20". Soon available to order though this website.
